Angela Gaziyeva is a UNIDO Specialist Representative in Turkmenistan, with many years of experience in implementing projects in the areas of ozone layer protection, climate-friendly technologies, and energy efficiency. Since 2016, she has been involved in the implementation of UNIDO projects in Turkmenistan, and since 2020, she has served as Coordinator of the National Ozone Unit within the framework of UNIDO projects. Her professional activities are related to the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment, coordination of national projects, improvement of the regulatory and legal framework, development of licensing and quota systems, as well as the introduction of low-global-warming-potential technologies and improvements in energy efficiency in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector. As part of her work, she coordinates cooperation between UNIDO, government authorities, relevant institutions, and technical specialists. She regularly participates in international events held within the framework of the Montreal Protocol. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Management.
