Saoud Alsaadi is Director of Business Development at the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA), where he leads efforts to attract foreign direct investment into Qatar’s free zones, Ras Bufontas and Umm AlHoul. He works with multinational companies, investors and government stakeholders to establish and expand regional operations from Qatar, supporting economic diversification and cross-border trade. Before joining QFZA, Saoud spent 17 years in corporate and syndication banking, working on major financing transactions and managing relationships across the government and corporate sectors. This experience gives him a practical understanding of how companies assess capital, risk and strategic investment decisions. At the Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 (TIF 2026), Saoud will share perspectives on developing investor-ready ecosystems and the role free zones can play in strengthening trade and investment flows between the Gulf and Central Asia.
