Rahimberdi Jepbarov graduated in 2000 from the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly with degree in International economy & International relations. In 2003, he graduated in absentia from the University of Antwerp in Belgium with degree in banking and finance. He began his career in December 1998 at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan as a specialist of the Administration department. From 2000 to 2008, he held various positions at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan. At the same time, from September 2007 till April 2008, he was the Executive Director of the Islamic Development Bank. Under the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan on March 12, 2008, he was appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan. By Presidential Decree dated April 18, 2008, he was appointed as the acting Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan. From April 23, 2008, he was appointed as the Governor of the Islamic Development Bank from Turkmenistan. According to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated January 15, 2010, he was approved to the position of the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan.
