Myratdurdy Orazdurdyev was born on 20 January 1978 in the Gökdepe district of Ahal province. In 2000 he graduated from the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov with a degree in economics and accounting. After completing his military service in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan (2000–2002), he began his career in 2002 as Chief Specialist at the Gökdepe District Department of Social Security. From 2004 he taught at his alma mater, first at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Finance and later at the Faculty of Cotton Growing, where he also served as Deputy Dean. In 2004 he won the national competition of scientific works among young people. Alongside his academic work, he gained practical experience in finance and accounting as Chief Accountant of the University's Educational-Experimental Farm, as an accountant at the "Şa ýoly" agricultural and livestock complex, and as accountant-cashier at the Presidential Akhal-Teke Horse Complex of the "Türkmen atlary" State Association (2010–2011). In 2011 he moved into banking education as Head of the Academic Department of the Specialized Banking School named after Hero of Turkmenistan Atamyrat Niyazov, a post he held until 2018. In April 2018 he joined the Central Bank of Turkmenistan as Head of the Credit Operations Department, and since 26 October 2018 he has served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. In October 2018 he was also appointed, by Presidential Decree, Governor for Turkmenistan at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In this capacity he represents Turkmenistan in its cooperation with the EBRD and has taken part in working visits and international events in Germany, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Singapore, Tajikistan, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Armenia, Türkiye, Italy, the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan. He speaks Turkmen and Russian.
