Naji Benhassine is the Regional Director of the World Bank for Central Asia, working with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. He has held senior positions at the World Bank for over 20 years, including Director for Pakistan, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Global Director for Finance and Innovation Operations. Benhassine is a citizen of Algeria. He has worked at McKinsey & Company, taught in Geneva, and holds a PhD in Economics from MIT.
