Hojamyrat Geldimyradov graduated in 1989 from the Turkmen Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Engineering Economics, and in 2004 from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with a degree in Jurisprudence. He began his career in 1989 and from 1992 to 2005 held various positions at the State Tax Service of Turkmenistan. In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance. From 2007 to 2008, he served as Minister of Economy and Finance, and later as Minister of Finance. In 2008, he became Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a Principal Specialist at the Finance Department of Chandybil District in Ashgabat. Between 2012 and 2017, he led departments within the Ministry of Economy and Development. From 2017 to 2020, he was Chief Advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. From April 2020 to July 2022, he served as Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management. On July 8, 2022, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan responsible for economy, finance, and banking.
