Charyyar Chetiev graduated from S.A. Nyyazov Turkmen Agricultural University in 2012 with a degree in land management engineering. He began his career in 2014 as a senior specialist in the Land Cadastre and Geoinformation Technologies Department under the Ministry of Agriculture. He later held senior positions in the State Committee for Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, where he led the Land Cadastre and Land Resources departments. From September 2022 to July 2023, he served as Deputy Minister for Environmental Protection and Land Resources. In September 2023, he became Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan. Since February 9, 2024, he has been serving as Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan.
