Eric Livny is an accomplished economist and policy expert with extensive experience in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Russia. A graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Economics and Political Science, he also studied at the prestigious Hebrew Reali School in Haifa. Since June 2024, he has served as Head of the Resident Office in Turkmenistan. From 2019 to 2024, he was Regional Lead Economist for Central Asia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Previously, he founded and led Tbilinomics Policy Advisors and served as President of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) from 2007 to 2018, also establishing and directing the ISET Policy Institute, a leading economic think tank in the region.
