Ulan Abylgaziyev has over 15 years of experience in the development of the banking sector and finance, including SME finance, corporate finance, portfolio management and credit risk assessment in the emerging markets of Asia, Africa and the Middle East and over 6 years of experience in managing and administering large infrastructure projects financed by international financial institutions, including portfolio management, financial management and procurement of services. He also has extensive experience in conducting due diligence, negotiations, research and presenting complex information to clients, partners and senior management.
He worked at the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), as the Head of the Financing Division (August 2020 - present) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and as the Chief Investment Officer (October 2006 - August 2020) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Also at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and has experience working as a project officer (2005 - 2006)
