Ekaterina Galitsyna is the Head of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus at the German state-owned Bank, KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH.
Ekaterina Galitsyna is responsible for the Development of the Strategy for the Region, new clients and projects acquisition, structuring deals, and commercial negotiations with special focus on supporting the realisation of environmental and climate protection projects.
Thanks to her more than 20 years’ experience within the KfW Banking group, Ekaterina has mastered the know-how in both the field of development cooperation and commercial bank financing.
Ekaterina has her broad knowledge of tailor-made financial solutions for the capex-intensive projects like corporate finance, project- and structured finance, ECA- based finance, sustainability-linked and green loans.
Intercultural management, knowledge of the mentality, culture and traditions of the Eastern European and Central Asian countries is Ms Galitsyna's further strength in her experience and successfully collaboration with the partners.
Mrs. Galitsyna is a member of Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), active contributor and member at the Association Women in Energy and Co-Founder of Alliance International Business Ladies Community.
In 2025 Ekaterina has initiated the new international platform “Women leaders Uzbekistan – Europe” which has been supported and successfully started by AGMK as a joint initiative “Women leaders – AGMK partners”.
Ekaterina successfully completed the programme FLOW Female Leadership Opportunities and Wholeness at the Business School Skolkovo in 2021.
In her PhD-research at VU Amsterdam (Part-time PhD-Program) Ekaterina is deeply involved in the topic “How do women leaders contribute to ESG agenda”.
