He began his career in 1999. From 2000 to 2006, he held various positions in the Department of economy and finance of the Turkmenbashi district of the Balkan province. In 2006 to 2010, he was appointed Head of the Treasury Division of the Main Department of finance of the Balkan province. In 2010 to 2017, he was Deputy Head, and Head of Main Department of finance of the Balkan Province. In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan. In 2017 to 2021, he served as Head of Division of Economic Analysis and Social Affairs of the Department of Economic Development of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. On August 3, 2021, Mr. Allakbayev was appointed Deputy Minister of finance and economy of Turkmenistan.
