Hojamyrat Geldimyradow graduated in 1989 from the Turkmen Polytechnic Institute with degree in Engineering Economics and in 2004 from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with degree in Jurisprudence. He began his career in 1989. From 1992 to 2005, he held various positions at State Tax Service of Turkmenistan. In 2005, he was promoted to Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan. In 2007 to 2008, he was Minister of Economy and Finance, and Minister of Finance of Turkmenistan. In 2008, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. In 2009–2012, he was Principal Specialist with Finance Department of Chandybil District of Ashgabat City. From 2012 to 2017, he led Department of Construction Complex Development and Department of Industrial Sector Development, both in the Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Chief Advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. From April 2020 to July 2022, he held the post of Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management. On July 8, 2022, Mr. GELDIMYRADOV was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan overseeing economy, finance and banking.
