Dr. Sarah Marjani Zadeh is an expert in land and water resource management, currently serving as the Land and Water Officer at the FAO Subregional Office for Central Asia and Turkey. She holds a PhD in Land and Water Resource Management and Engineering. Since joining FAO in 2014 as a Water Officer in Rome, she has played a key role in overseeing and coordinating the land and water portfolio for the sub-region, focusing on both project implementation and normative work. Before her tenure at FAO, Dr. Zadeh worked with renowned institutions such as the International Water Management Institute, the Ontario Ministry of Environment, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She has also held academic positions, lecturing at Tehran University and Ryerson University in Toronto. Dr. Zadeh's work has had a significant impact on sustainable land and water management in Central Asia.
