Dr. Undala Alam is the Regional Climate Change Adviser for the FCDO, with 25 years of experience in international basin management across Africa and Asia. Her expertise spans academia and development practice, focusing on water resources, climate change, and energy policy.Dr. Alam holds a PhD in Political Geography (Water Management), an MA in International Studies, and a BSc in Chemistry. She has previously served as Energy Policy Adviser (2020-2024) and Regional Water Resources and Climate Adviser (2014-2019) for the FCDO. Her earlier roles include Water Resources Specialist for the UNDP-World Bank and various academic positions, including Research Fellow at Warwick and Cranfield Universities.
