Chakiev Mammetkhan graduated from the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communication, with Engineering and Economist degree. After graduating. Between 1998 and 1999 he held position of an Accountant of Akhalteke Equestrian Complex named after S.A. Niyazov. He held various posts at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan between 1999 and 2014. From 2014 till 2016 he was Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, until he was appointed as the Chairman in 2016. From June 2017 till April 2018 he was Director of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes. Between April 2018 to October he was Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Mr. Chakiev held various positions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs between 2019 till July 2021. He was appointed as the General Director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in July 2021.
