Vladimir Serpikov was born on 19 May 1966. Graduated with honours from the Faculty of Translation of Minsk State Linguistic University in 1990 and from the Faculty of Law of Belarusian State University in 1996. From 1990 to 1995 he held various positions in the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Belarus. From 1995 to 1998 he worked at the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in New York, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United States of America (Washington). From 1998 to 2001 - Deputy Head of the Department of Pan-European Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. From 2001 to 2005 - Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Kingdom of Belgium / Permanent Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the United States of America (Washington, D.C.). in the Kingdom of Belgium / Permanent Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the European Union. From 2006 to 2010. - Head of the Department for Pan-European Cooperation - Deputy Head of the Main Department for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. From 2010 to 2016. - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Slovak Republic. From 2016 to 2022 - Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the negotiating delegation for the accession of the Republic of Belarus to the World Trade Organisation. Since May 2022 - Director of the Trade Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission. He speaks English and French.
