Neil McKain is the Country Manager for Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group. Previously, he served as Advisor to the Vice President of Banking at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. He also held the roles of EBRD Director for the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, as well as Head of Azerbaijan. Before joining the EBRD, he worked in Russia with A.T. Kearney, focusing on post-privatization restructuring, and was a lecturer in international economic relations at Novosibirsk State University. Neil holds an MBA from Cambridge University Judge Business School and an MA in International Relations from Aberdeen University. He has also served as a non-executive director in sectors including financial institutions, oil and gas, textiles, and fintech.
