Daria Karman is the Associate Programme Officer in the Strategy and Policy for Trade and Investment section at the International Trade Centre (joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations). With extensive experience in international trade and policy, Daria is responsible for designing and implementing technical assistance projects that aim to align regulatory environments with international rules and standards. Currently, she is leading the WTO accession-related projects implemented by ITC in Central Asia, assisting the governments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in facilitating their respective WTO accession processes. Before joining ITC, Daria worked as a trade negotiator and WTO expert in the governmental sector, honing her skills in negotiating trade-related agreements and ensuring national regulations compliance with international trade rules.
